AYAT.ONE

So how will it be when disaster strikes them because of what their hands have put forth and then they come to you swearing by Allāh, "We intended nothing but good conduct and accommodation."

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Source of Disaster: The consequence of their own hands' evil works.

The Insight

When disaster strikes the hypocrites due to their own wrongdoing, they rush to swear by God that they only intended good. **Accept the consequence of action.** When faced with misfortune, look inward. Acknowledge that the suffering may be a direct, deserved consequence of your past misdeeds.
