And when it is said to them, "Come to what Allāh has revealed and to the Messenger," you see the hypocrites turning away from you in aversion.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Fear of Arbitration: Hypocrites turn away in aversion from God's law.

The Insight

When hypocrites are invited to the Qur'an and the Messenger for judgment, they turn away in aversion. **Welcome God's arbitration.** Embrace the application of God's law in resolving your disputes. Turning away from God's law in moments of legal conflict reveals a lack of true submission.
