لَا يُحِبُّ اللّٰهُ الۡجَــهۡرَ بِالسُّوۡٓءِ مِنَ الۡقَوۡلِ اِلَّا مَنۡ ظُلِمَ​ؕ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ سَمِيۡعًا عَلِيۡمًا‏ ۝
La yuhibbu Allahualjahra bissoo-i mina alqawli illa man thulimawakana Allahu sameeAAan AAaleema
Allāh does not like the public mention of evil except by one who has been wronged. And ever is Allāh Hearing and Knowing.

The Prohibition of Malicious Speech: God dislikes evil speech unless one is wronged.

The Insight

God dislikes malicious, evil speech, except from one who has been wronged. **Guard the purity of speech.** Avoid slander, gossip, and unnecessary negativity. The exception for the oppressed allows them to voice their suffering publicly.
