Surah An-Nisa 4:149
اِنۡ تُبۡدُوۡا خَيۡرًا اَوۡ تُخۡفُوۡهُ اَوۡ تَعۡفُوۡا عَنۡ سُوۡٓءٍ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا قَدِيۡرًا‏ ۝
In tubdoo khayran aw tukhfoohu aw taAAfooAAan soo-in fa-inna Allaha kana AAafuwwan qadeera
If instead you show some good or conceal it or pardon an offense - indeed, Allāh is ever Pardoning and Competent.

Theme of the Ayat

The Command of Pardon: God's superior capacity for forgiveness.

The Insight

If you disclose good or pardon an evil, God is Pardoning and Competent. **Practice superior forgiveness.** Follow God's example of pardon. Forgiving those who have wronged you is a highly virtuous act that earns God's mercy.
