Indeed, those who disbelieve i.e., reject the message after their belief and then increase in disbelief - never will their claimed repentance be accepted, and they are the ones astray.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Futility of Repentance: Repenting after persistent denial will not be accepted.

The Insight

Those who disbelieve after believing, and then increase in disbelief, will find that their later repentance will not be accepted. Act on clarity immediately. When truth is clear, do not delay. Persistent denial and accumulating sin make the heart so hard that true, final repentance becomes impossible.
