Illa allatheena taboomin baAAdi thalika waaslahoo fa-inna Allahaghafoorun raheem
Except for those who repent after that and correct themselves. For indeed, Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Exception of Repentance: The door to forgiveness is always open until the final moment.

The Insight

There is one exception: those who repent after their transgression and correct their ways will find God forgiving and merciful. Trust in the path of return. Regardless of the severity of the sin, the door of repentance is always open. Sincere regret must be followed immediately by active self-correction and reform.
