So the angels called him while he was standing in prayer in the chamber, "Indeed, Allāh gives you good tidings of John, confirming a word from Allāh and who will be honorable, abstaining from women, and a prophet from among the righteous."

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Divine Response: The promise of Yahya (John) and the sign of silence.

The Insight

The angels informed Zachariah that God would grant him a son, Yahya (John), whose sign would be his inability to speak for three days, despite being well. Acknowledge the power of the miracle. Do not limit your prayers to what is scientifically or naturally probable. The Creator's power transcends all biological limits.
