Theme of the Ayat

Zachariah's Prayer: Asking for a righteous successor in old age.

The Insight

Upon seeing Maryam's miraculous provision, Zachariah was inspired to pray for a righteous child of his own, despite his old age. Let piety inspire ambition. The purity and devotion of others should inspire you to seek greater spiritual gifts. Never think you are too old or too late to ask God for impossible-seeming blessings.
