AYAT.ONE
Wala yahsabanna allatheenayabkhaloona bima atahummu Allahu minfadlihi huwa khayran lahum bal huwa sharrun lahum sayutawwaqoonama bakhiloo bihi yawma alqiyamati walillahimeerathu assamawati wal-ardiwallahu bima taAAmaloona khabeer
And let not those who greedily withhold what Allāh has given them of His bounty ever think that it is better for them. Rather, it is worse for them. Their necks will be encircled by what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection. And to Allāh belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. And Allāh, of what you do, is fully Aware.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Danger of Hoarding: The miser's wealth will be a chain around his neck.

The Insight

Those who are miserly with the wealth God gave them will find that wealth will be a chain around their necks on the Day of Judgment. Use wealth for good. Recognize that wealth is a test and a trust. Hoarding it for personal gratification is spiritually destructive. Giving charity is an investment that removes the burden of wealth in the afterlife.
