Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Ethics of Consumption: Eating, drinking, and avoiding extravagance in all things.

The Insight

Believers are commanded to eat and drink of lawful things but avoid extravagance and waste. **Practice mindful moderation.** Enjoy God's provisions gratefully, but reject gluttony, wastefulness, and obsession. Extravagance is a form of ingratitude that God dislikes.
