Surah Al-A'raf (7:13)

قَالَ فَاهۡبِطۡ مِنۡهَا فَمَا يَكُوۡنُ لَـكَ اَنۡ تَتَكَبَّرَ فِيۡهَا فَاخۡرُجۡ اِنَّكَ مِنَ الصّٰغِرِيۡنَ‏ ۝

Qala fahbit minhafama yakoonu laka an tatakabbara feeha fakhrujinnaka mina assaghireen

Allāh said, "Descend from it i.e., Paradise, for it is not for you to be arrogant therein. So get out; indeed, you are of the debased."

Theme of the Ayat

The Command of Expulsion: Iblis is cast out of Paradise due to his transgression.

The Insight

God commanded Iblis to leave the elevated status of Paradise, declaring he was disgraced and rejected. **Fear God's rejection.** The consequence of deliberate, prideful disobedience is immediate loss of spiritual status and proximity to God.
