Then why, when Our punishment came to them, did they not humble themselves? But their hearts became hardened, and Satan made attractive to them that which they were doing.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Failure to Humble: The hardening of hearts after God's corrective trial.

The Insight

When God's trial came, their hearts failed to humble themselves, and Satan made their wicked deeds appealing to them. **Resist Satan's influence during trials.** Trials are opportunities for repentance, but Satan uses them to encourage arrogance and justify further sin.
