O you who have believed, Allāh will surely test you through something of the game that your hands and spears can reach, that Allāh may make evident those who fear Him unseen. And whoever transgresses after that - for him is a painful punishment.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Test of Intention: Prohibiting hunting during pilgrimage to test sincerity.

The Insight

Believers are prohibited from hunting during the state of *Ihrām* (pilgrimage) as a test to distinguish those who fear God in the unseen from those who do not. **Prove sincerity in private.** True devotion is proven not just by visible adherence to rules, but by obedience to prohibitions when no one is watching.
