AYAT.ONE
Afahukma aljahiliyyatiyabghoona waman ahsanu mina Allahu hukmanliqawmin yooqinoon
Then is it the judgement of the time of ignorance they desire? But who is better than Allāh in judgement for a people who are certain in faith.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Question of Law: Rejecting the law of the time of ignorance.

The Insight

The verse questions whether they seek the judgment of the time of ignorance (*Jahiliyyah*), stating that God's judgment is best for the people of certainty. **Reject outdated, corrupt standards.** Do not apply pre-Islamic or morally corrupt standards of judgment in a world where God's clear law is established.
