آيات AYAT.ONE
ذٰ لِكَ اَدۡنٰٓى اَنۡ يَّاۡتُوۡا بِالشَّهَادَةِ عَلٰى وَجۡهِهَاۤ اَوۡ يَخَافُوۡۤا اَنۡ تُرَدَّ اَيۡمَانٌۢ بَعۡدَ اَيۡمَانِهِمۡ​ؕ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَاسۡمَعُوۡا​ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهۡدِى الۡقَوۡمَ الۡفٰسِقِيۡنَ‏ ۝
Thalika adna an ya/too bishshahadatiAAala wajhiha aw yakhafoo an turadda aymanunbaAAda aymanihim wattaqoo Allaha wasmaAAoowallahu la yahdee alqawma alfasiqeen
That is more likely that they will give testimony according to its true objective, or at least they would fear that other oaths might be taken after their oaths. And fear Allāh and listen i.e., obey Him; and Allāh does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

The Insight

This process ensures that people will either fear violating their oaths or fear that their false oaths will be rejected. **Let accountability curb corruption.** Legal structures create a moral deterrent against dishonesty by making consequences clear.
