آيات AYAT.ONE
فَاِنۡ عُثِرَ عَلٰٓى اَنَّهُمَا اسۡتَحَقَّاۤ اِثۡمًا فَاٰخَرٰنِ يَقُوۡمٰنِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اسۡتَحَقَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ الۡاَوۡلَيٰنِ فَيُقۡسِمٰنِ بِاللّٰهِ لَشَهَادَتُنَاۤ اَحَقُّ مِنۡ شَهَادَتِهِمَا وَ مَا اعۡتَدَيۡنَاۤ​ ​ۖ  اِنَّاۤ​ اِذًا لَّمِنَ الظّٰلِمِيۡنَ‏ ۝
Fa-in AAuthira AAala annahumaistahaqqa ithman faakharani yaqoomanimaqamahuma mina allatheena istahaqqaAAalayhimu al-awlayani fayuqsimani billahilashahadatuna ahaqqu min shahadatihimawama iAAtadayna inna ithan lamina aththalimeen
But if it is found that those two were guilty of sin i.e., perjury, let two others stand in their place who are foremost in claim from those who have a lawful right. And let them swear by Allāh, "Our testimony is truer than their testimony, and we have not transgressed. Indeed, we would then be of the wrongdoers."

The Law of Recourse: Allowing substitution of witnesses upon discovery of breach of trust.

The Insight

If a breach of trust is discovered in the original witnesses, two new witnesses from the kin of the deceased may substitute them to restore the truth. **Provide legal checks and balances.** The law ensures mechanisms for seeking truth and justice when a trust has been violated.
