آيات AYAT.ONE
وَاِنۡ اَرَدتُّمُ اسۡتِبۡدَالَ زَوۡجٍ مَّكَانَ زَوۡجٍ ۙ وَّاٰتَيۡتُمۡ اِحۡدٰٮهُنَّ قِنۡطَارًا فَلَا تَاۡخُذُوۡا مِنۡهُ شَيۡـــًٔا​ ؕ اَ تَاۡخُذُوۡنَهٗ بُهۡتَانًا وَّاِثۡمًا مُّبِيۡنًا‏ ۝
Wa-in aradtumu istibdala zawjin makanazawjin waataytum ihdahunna qintaranfala ta/khuthoo minhu shay-an ata/khuthoonahubuhtanan wa-ithman mubeena
But if you want to replace one wife with another and you have given one of them a great amount in gifts, do not take back from it anything. Would you take it in injustice and manifest sin?

The Law of Fair Exchange: Not reclaiming a large dowry for divorce after consummation. |

The Insight

If one wishes to exchange one wife for another, they must not reclaim any portion of the dowry already given. **Honor your financial commitment.** The dowry is the wife's right. Do not use divorce as a means to recover money, especially after the contract has been consummated. |
