آيات AYAT.ONE
فَبِمَا نَقۡضِهِمۡ مِّيۡثَاقَهُمۡ وَكُفۡرِهِمۡ بِاٰيٰتِ اللّٰهِ وَقَتۡلِهِمُ الۡاَنۡۢبِيَآءَ بِغَيۡرِ حَقٍّ وَّقَوۡلِهِمۡ قُلُوۡبُنَا غُلۡفٌ ؕ بَلۡ طَبَعَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيۡهَا بِكُفۡرِهِمۡ فَلَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ اِلَّا قَلِيۡلًا‏ ۝
Fabima naqdihim meethaqahumwakufrihim bi-ayati Allahi waqatlihimual-anbiyaa bighayri haqqin waqawlihim quloobunaghulfun bal tabaAAa Allahu AAalayhabikufrihim fala yu/minoona illa qaleela
And We cursed them for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allāh and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, "Our hearts are wrapped" i.e., sealed against reception. Rather, Allāh has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.

The Insight

Their punishment is due to repeatedly breaking covenants, unjustly killing prophets, and arrogantly claiming their hearts were immune to new messages. **Learn from the accumulation of error.** Recognize that punishment is rarely for a single sin but for a long, persistent history of disobedience and rebellion.
