آيات AYAT.ONE
Surah An-Nisa 4:142
اِنَّ الۡمُنٰفِقِيۡنَ يُخٰدِعُوۡنَ اللّٰهَ وَهُوَ خَادِعُوْهُمۡ​ ۚ وَاِذَا قَامُوۡۤا اِلَى الصَّلٰوةِ قَامُوۡا كُسَالٰى ۙ يُرَآءُوۡنَ النَّاسَ وَلَا يَذۡكُرُوۡنَ اللّٰهَ اِلَّا قَلِيۡلًا ۙ‏ ۝
Inna almunafiqeena yukhadiAAoonaAllaha wahuwa khadiAAuhum wa-itha qamooila assalati qamoo kusalayuraoona annasa wala yathkuroonaAllaha illa qaleela
Indeed, the hypocrites think to deceive Allāh, but He is deceiving them. And when they stand for prayer, they stand lazily, showing themselves to the people and not remembering Allāh except a little,

Theme of the Ayat

The Deception of Prayer: The lazy and showy prayer of the hypocrites.

The Insight

The hypocrites approach prayer lazily, only to be seen by people, and rarely remember God. **Purify the intent of worship.** True prayer is a sincere, consistent, private devotion for God's sake, not a public performance to gain reputation.
