Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met in combat at Badr - one fighting in the cause of Allāh and another of disbelievers. They saw them to be twice their own number by their eyesight. But Allāh supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed in that is a lesson for those of vision.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Sign of Badr: A historical lesson in divine support for the few against the many.

The Insight

The Battle of Badr is mentioned as a clear sign, where a small group of believers saw a much larger army as double their number, leading to victory. Rely on divine quality, not human quantity. Never be intimidated by the power, wealth, or numbers of the opposition. God's support for a few sincere, righteous people is stronger than the multitude of the corrupt.
