AYAT.ONE
Laysa laka mina al-amri shay-on aw yatoobaAAalayhim aw yuAAaththibahum fa-innahum thalimoon
Not for you, O Muḥammad, but for Allāh, is the decision whether He should cut them down or forgive them or punish them, for indeed, they are wrongdoers.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Prophet's Mercy: God determines the fate of the enemies, not the Prophet's desire.

The Insight

The Prophet is reminded that the decision regarding the fate of the disbelievers rests entirely with God. Relinquish the right to judge. Do not let hatred for your enemies lead you to condemn them absolutely. God reserves the ultimate right of judgment and mercy for those who repent.
