The example of what they spend in this worldly life is like that of a wind containing frost which strikes the harvest of a people who have wronged themselves i.e., sinned and destroys it. And Allāh has not wronged them, but they wrong themselves.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Parable of Destruction: The cold wind that ruins the crops of the wrongdoers.

The Insight

The charity of the disbelievers is likened to a destructive cold wind that ruins the crops of those who wronged themselves. Protect your investment. Deeds done without the foundation of sincere faith (disbelief) are ultimately hollow and destroyed when needed most. Ensure your actions are built on a solid foundation of belief.
