Say, "Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel - it is none but he who has brought it i.e., the Qur’ān down upon your heart, O Muḥammad, by permission of Allāh, confirming that which was before it and as guidance and good tidings for the believers."

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Authority of Gabriel: The rejection of the Angel of Revelation.

The Insight

They expressed hostility toward the Angel Gabriel (*Jibreel*), claiming he brought down warnings and punishment. Do not reject the messenger because of the message. We must accept the source of divine guidance (prophets, Scripture) even when the message contains stern warnings, not just comforting news.
