آيات AYAT.ONE
وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمۡ اَحۡرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلٰى حَيٰوةٍ  ۛۚ وَ مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اَشۡرَكُوۡا​​  ۛۚ يَوَدُّ اَحَدُهُمۡ لَوۡ يُعَمَّرُ اَ لۡفَ سَنَةٍ ۚ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحۡزِحِهٖ مِنَ الۡعَذَابِ اَنۡ يُّعَمَّرَ​ؕ وَاللّٰهُ بَصِيۡرٌۢ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ ‏ ۝
Walatajidannahum ahrasa annasiAAala hayatin wamina allatheenaashrakoo yawaddu ahaduhum law yuAAammaru alfa sanatin wamahuwa bimuzahzihihi mina alAAathabi anyuAAammara wallahu baseerun bimayaAAmaloon
And you will surely find them the most greedy of people for life - even more than those who associate others with Allāh. One of them wishes that he could be granted life a thousand years, but it would not remove him in the least from the coming punishment that he should be granted life. And Allāh is Seeing of what they do.

They are described as the people most attached to the physical life, wishing to live a thousand years, preferring worldly existence over the Hereafter. Check your ultimate goal. If your primary focus is solely on maximizing worldly pleasure, avoiding responsibility, and accumulating wealth, you risk losing perspective on eternal life.
