Surah Al-Baqarah (2:73)

آيات AYAT.ONE

فَقُلۡنَا اضۡرِبُوۡهُ بِبَعۡضِهَا ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُحۡىِ اللّٰهُ الۡمَوۡتٰى ۙ وَيُرِيۡکُمۡ اٰيٰتِهٖ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ‏ ۝

Faqulna idriboohu bibaAAdihakathalika yuhyee Allahu almawtawayureekum ayatihi laAAallakum taAAqiloon

So We said, "Strike him i.e., the slain man with part of it." Thus does Allāh bring the dead to life, and He shows you His signs that you might reason.

Theme of the Ayat

The Divine Purpose: The miracle of the revived man reveals the Creator's power over life and death.

The Insight

This confirms that the purpose of the miracle was to show them how God gives life to the dead and displays His power. See miracles in daily life. Just as God brought the dead man back, He revives life in barren lands and gives hope to dead hearts. Use these observations to strengthen your belief in resurrection.
