AYAT.ONE
Fahazamoohum bi-ithni Allahiwaqatala dawoodu jaloota waatahu Allahualmulka walhikmata waAAallamahu mimma yashaowalawla dafAAu Allahi annasa baAAdahumbibaAAdin lafasadati al-ardu walakinna Allahathoo fadlin AAala alAAalameen
So they defeated them by permission of Allāh, and David killed Goliath, and Allāh gave him the kingship and wisdom i.e., prophethood and taught him from that which He willed. And if it were not for Allāh checking some people by means of others, the earth would have been corrupted, but Allāh is the possessor of bounty for the worlds.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Triumph of the Few: David defeats Goliath, and God grants kingship and wisdom.

The Insight

The small army, led by David (Dawud), defeated Goliath (Jalut) by God's will. God granted David kingship and wisdom. Trust quality over quantity. The decisive factor in any conflict (personal or communal) is not numerical size, but the quality of faith, discipline, and divine support.
