آيات AYAT.ONE
فَمَنۡۢ بَدَّلَهٗ بَعۡدَمَا سَمِعَهٗ فَاِنَّمَآ اِثۡمُهٗ عَلَى الَّذِيۡنَ يُبَدِّلُوۡنَهٗؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَمِيۡعٌ عَلِيۡمٌؕ‏ ۝
Faman baddalahu baAAda ma samiAAahufa-innama ithmuhu AAala allatheenayubaddiloonahu inna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleem
Then whoever alters it i.e., the bequest after he has heard it - the sin is only upon those who have altered it. Indeed, Allāh is Hearing and Knowing.

Theme of the Ayat

The Crime of Altering the Will: The sin of changing the deceased's legal intent.

The Insight

Whoever alters a just will after hearing it is guilty of a great sin, and the sin falls on the one who altered it. Respect final wishes. Treat the last will and testament of the deceased with sacred respect. Altering or hiding a legal will for personal gain is an act of grave injustice against the dead.
