Theme of the Ayat

The Double Standard: The danger of seeking validation from two opposing sources.

The Insight

Their duplicity is exposed: professing faith with Muslims, and mocking it with their allies. Commit to a single, principled identity. Trying to please everyone by adapting your morals to fit different social circles (Chameleon Behavior) shows a lack of core values and leads to spiritual duplicity.
