AYAT.ONE
Ma nansakh min ayatin awnunsiha na/ti bikhayrin minha aw mithlihaalam taAAlam anna Allaha AAala kulli shay-in qadeer
We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth one better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allāh is over all things competent?

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Doctrine of Abrogation: Accepting change and development in divine law.

The Insight

This establishes the principle that God may substitute or remove certain verses or rulings. Whatever God replaces is either better or equal to what was removed. Embrace positive change. Understand that development and evolution in moral and legal commands occur according to God's perfect wisdom. True submission is adapting to the latest instruction, not clinging stubbornly to the past.
