آيات AYAT.ONE
وَلَوۡ اَنَّهُمۡ رَضُوۡا مَاۤ اٰتٰٮهُمُ اللّٰهُ وَرَسُوۡلُهٗۙ وَقَالُوۡا حَسۡبُنَا اللّٰهُ سَيُؤۡتِيۡنَا اللّٰهُ مِنۡ فَضۡلِهٖ وَ رَسُوۡلُهٗۙ اِنَّاۤ اِلَى اللّٰهِ رٰغِبُوۡنَ‏ ۝
Walaw annahum radoo ma atahumuAllahu warasooluhu waqaloo hasbunaAllahu sayu/teena Allahu min fadlihiwarasooluhu inna ila Allahi raghiboon
If only they had been satisfied with what Allāh and His Messenger gave them and said, "Sufficient for us is Allāh; Allāh will give us of His bounty, and so will His Messenger; indeed, we are desirous toward Allāh," it would have been better for them.

Theme of the Ayat

This verse speaks to the core theme of **At-Tawbah**.

The Insight

Reflect on the meaning: "If only they had been satisfied with what Allāh and His Messenger gave them and said, "Sufficient for us is Allāh; Allāh will give us of His bounty, and so will His Messenger; indeed, we are desirous toward Allāh," it would have been better for them.".
