Surah Al-A'raf 7:95
ثُمَّ بَدَّلۡـنَا مَكَانَ السَّيِّئَةِ الۡحَسَنَةَ حَتّٰى عَفَوْا وَّقَالُوۡا قَدۡ مَسَّ اٰبَآءَنَا الضَّرَّآءُ وَالسَّرَّآءُ فَاَخَذۡنٰهُمۡ بَغۡتَةً وَّهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُوۡنَ‏ ۝
Thumma baddalna makana assayyi-atialhasanata hatta AAafaw waqaloo qadmassa abaana addarraowassarrao faakhathnahum baghtatanwahum la yashAAuroon
Then We exchanged in place of the bad condition, good, until they increased and prospered and said, "Our fathers also were touched with hardship and ease." So We seized them suddenly while they did not perceive.

The Deception of Ease: Replacing hardship with ease to test their gratitude.

The Insight

God replaced their hardship with ease, leading them to forget the trial and deny God's power. **Be wary of sudden prosperity.** Ease and comfort can be a greater test than hardship, often leading to arrogance and ingratitude.
