Surah Al-A'raf (7:39)

وَقَالَتۡ اُوۡلٰٮهُمۡ لِاُخۡرٰٮهُمۡ فَمَا كَانَ لَـكُمۡ عَلَيۡنَا مِنۡ فَضۡلٍ فَذُوۡقُوا الۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَكۡسِبُوۡنَ‏ ۝

Waqalat oolahum li-okhrahumfama kana lakum AAalayna min fadlinfathooqoo alAAathaba bima kuntum taksiboon

And the first of them will say to the last of them, "Then you had not any favor over us, so taste the punishment for what you used to earn."

The Inescapable Loss: The followers lose the ability to speak for themselves and face double penalty.

The Insight

The followers will be silenced and suffer double the penalty for being misled and misleading others. **Protect the integrity of others' faith.** If you lead others into error, your consequence will be compounded. Be a source of guidance, not misdirection.
