Surah Al-A'raf (7:144)

قَالَ يٰمُوۡسٰٓى اِنِّى اصۡطَفَيۡتُكَ عَلَى النَّاسِ بِرِسٰلٰتِىۡ وَ بِكَلَامِىۡ ۖ  فَخُذۡ مَاۤ اٰتَيۡتُكَ وَكُنۡ مِّنَ الشّٰكِرِيۡنَ‏ ۝

Qala ya moosa innee istafaytukaAAala annasi birisalateewabikalamee fakhuth ma ataytuka wakunmina ashshakireen

Allāh said, "O Moses, I have chosen you over the people with My messages and My words to you. So take what I have given you and be among the grateful."

The Favor of Selection: God's choice of Musa for direct speech and messengership.

The Insight

God affirmed His choice of Musa over all mankind for direct communication (*Kalam*) and messengership. **Trust in God's selection.** Recognize that spiritual leadership is a gift of divine selection, based on God's perfect knowledge.
