Theme of the Ayat

The Prohibition of Mockery: Do not revile the false gods of others.

The Insight

Believers are commanded not to revile the false gods that the polytheists worship, lest they retaliate by reviling the true God out of ignorance. **Practice respectful diplomacy.** Engage in reasoned dialogue, but avoid insulting the sacred symbols of others. This prevents escalation and protects the sanctity of God's name.
