And it is He who takes your souls by night and knows what you have committed by day. Then He revives you therein i.e., by day that a specified term may be fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return; then He will inform you about what you used to do.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Cycle of Sleep and Awakening: God knows all actions, day and night, before final judgment.

The Insight

God takes your souls in sleep and knows all your earnings during the day, before the final judgment and return to Him. **Submit to God's continuous observation.** Recognize that God's observation is constant, day and night. Sleep is a temporary death, and each day is a chance to accumulate good deeds before the final reckoning.
