AYAT.ONE

And they i.e., the polytheists assign to Allāh from that which He created of crops and livestock a share and say, "This is for Allāh," by their claim, "and this is for our 'partners' associated with Him." But what is for their "partners" does not reach Allāh, while what is for Allāh - this reaches their "partners." Evil is that which they rule.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Corruption of Provision: Arbitrarily assigning shares of harvest and animals to God and partners.

The Insight

The polytheists corrupt their own provision by arbitrarily dividing their crops and animals, assigning a share to God and a share to their false deities. **Sanctify all provision.** Recognize that all blessings come from God. Do not allow superstition or false loyalty to corrupt the purity of your livelihood.
