O you who have believed, do not prohibit the good things which Allāh has made lawful to you and do not transgress. Indeed, Allāh does not like transgressors.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Prohibition of Ascetic Extremity: Not forbidding lawful and good things.

The Insight

Believers are commanded not to forbid the lawful and good things God has provided, nor to transgress the natural limits. **Maintain moderation in life.** Reject extreme asceticism or self-imposed prohibitions. God desires ease, and His blessings should be enjoyed gratefully within lawful limits.
