Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:35
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَابۡتَغُوۡۤا اِلَيۡهِ الۡوَسِيۡلَةَ وَجَاهِدُوۡا فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِهٖ لَعَلَّـكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُوۡنَ‏ ۝
Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooittaqoo Allaha wabtaghoo ilayhi alwaseelata wajahidoofee sabeelihi laAAallakum tuflihoon
O you who have believed, fear Allāh and seek the means of nearness to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed.

Theme of the Ayat

The Command to Seek Nearness: Finding the means to approach God (Wasilah).

The Insight

Believers are commanded to fear God, seek the means (*Wasilah*) to draw near to Him, and strive in His way. **Strive for closeness.** Actively pursue those righteous deeds, worship acts, and ethical practices that draw you closer to God. This nearness is the ultimate spiritual goal.
