Surah An-Nisa (4:88)

فَمَا لَـكُمۡ فِىۡ الۡمُنٰفِقِيۡنَ فِئَـتَيۡنِ وَاللّٰهُ اَرۡكَسَهُمۡ بِمَا كَسَبُوۡاؕ اَ تُرِيۡدُوۡنَ اَنۡ تَهۡدُوۡا مَنۡ اَضَلَّ اللّٰهُ ؕ وَمَنۡ يُّضۡلِلِ اللّٰهُ فَلَنۡ تَجِدَ لَهٗ سَبِيۡلًا‏ ۝

Fama lakum fee almunafiqeenafi-atayni wallahu arkasahum bima kasabooatureedoona an tahdoo man adalla Allahu waman yudliliAllahu falan tajida lahu sabeela

What is the matter with you that you are two groups concerning the hypocrites, while Allāh has made them fall back into error and disbelief for what they earned. Do you wish to guide those whom Allāh has sent astray? And he whom Allāh sends astray - never will you find for him a way of guidance.

The Division Over Hypocrites: Not dividing into factions over God's judgment.

The Insight

Believers are warned against dividing into factions over the status of the hypocrites, who are punished by God for their own deeds. **Avoid internal conflict.** Do not waste communal energy in judging the sincerity of others. Focus on the clearly righteous path, leaving the judgment of the insincere to God.
