Have you not seen those who claim themselves to be pure? Rather, Allāh purifies whom He wills, and injustice is not done to them, even as much as a thread inside a date seed.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Self-Praise: Condemnation of those who claim purity for themselves.

The Insight

This condemns those who praise themselves and claim to be pure. God is the one who truly purifies whomever He wills. **Reject spiritual vanity.** Do not be arrogant about your own perceived piety. Humility requires acknowledging that all purification is a gift from God, and only He knows the sincere heart.
