Surah Al-Hajj 22:12
يَدۡعُوۡا مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهٗ وَمَا لَا يَنۡفَعُهٗ ​ؕ ذٰ لِكَ هُوَ الضَّلٰلُ الۡبَعِيۡدُ​ ۚ‏ ۝
YadAAoo min dooni Allahi ma layadurruhu wama la yanfaAAuhu thalikahuwa addalalu albaAAeed
He invokes instead of Allāh that which neither harms him nor benefits him. That is what is the extreme error.
