آيات AYAT.ONE

And We did certainly give Moses the Scripture i.e., the Torah and followed up after him with messengers. And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Pure Spirit i.e., the angel Gabriel. But is it not that every time a messenger came to you, O Children of Israel, with what your souls did not desire, you were arrogant? And a party of messengers you denied and another party you killed.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The History of Prophethood: Accepting some messengers while rejecting others.

The Insight

The pattern of messengers continued with Musa (Moses) and then Isa (Jesus), supported by the Holy Spirit. Yet, whenever a messenger came with what they disliked, they arrogantly rejected some and killed others. Be open to truth, even if it challenges comfort. Do not reject a message or a righteous person just because their words contradict your established comforts, biases, or lifestyle.
