And if you fear an enemy, then pray on foot or riding. But when you are secure, then remember Allāh in prayer, as He has taught you that which you did not previously know.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Flexibility of Prayer: Praying in fear, even while riding or walking.

The Insight

In situations of fear (war, danger), believers may pray while walking or riding. Once safe, they must return to the standard formal prayer. Adapt worship to life. In extreme circumstances, God accommodates human weakness. The core duty of connection remains, adapting to the circumstance, but the standard must be returned to once the danger passes.
