Surah Al-Baqarah 2:212
زُيِّنَ لِلَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوا الۡحَيٰوةُ الدُّنۡيَا وَيَسۡخَرُوۡنَ مِنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا ​ ۘ وَالَّذِيۡنَ اتَّقَوۡا فَوۡقَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ الۡقِيٰمَةِ ؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَرۡزُقُ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ بِغَيۡرِ حِسَابٍ‏ ۝
Zuyyina lillatheena kafaroo alhayatuaddunya wayaskharoona mina allatheena amanoowallatheena ittaqaw fawqahum yawma alqiyamatiwallahu yarzuqu man yashao bighayri hisab
Beautified for those who disbelieve is the life of this world, and they ridicule those who believe. But those who fear Allāh are above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allāh gives provision to whom He wills without account.

Theme of the Ayat

The Illusion of Worldly Wealth: The contempt for believers shown by the rich.

The Insight

Worldly life is made attractive to the disbelievers, leading them to mock the believers who prioritize the Hereafter. Prioritize eternal wealth. Do not be swayed by the superficial judgment of the materially rich. True wealth is piety, and the righteous will be above the rich disbelievers on the Day of Judgment.
