Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allāh, and indeed to Him we will return."

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Response to Calamity: Submitting to God's ultimate ownership.

The Insight

The verse describes the response of the truly patient (*Sabireen*): when afflicted with calamity, they declare, 'Indeed, we belong to God, and indeed to Him we will return.'. When faced with any loss (job, health, loved one), immediately turn to this phrase. It grounds you in the understanding that you never truly owned what you lost, softening the blow of tragedy.
