For each religious following is a prayer direction toward which it faces. So race to all that is good. Wherever you may be, Allāh will bring you forth for judgement all together. Indeed, Allāh is over all things competent.

Tadabbur (Reflection)

Theme of the Ayat

The Race to Goodness: The competition of nations in piety and action.

The Insight

Every community has a direction it faces in worship, but the ultimate goal is to compete with one another in doing good deeds. Re-evaluate your competition. Your energy should be spent striving for moral excellence and charity, not striving for wealth, status, or dominance over others. Let piety be your ultimate field of competition.
