Say, O Muḥammad, "Do you argue with us about Allāh while He is our Lord and your Lord? For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. And we are sincere in deed and intention to Him."

Theme of the Ayat

The Rhetoric of Monotheism: Why argue about God's uniqueness?

The Insight

The verse asks why they argue about the One Creator, stating that He is their Lord and our Lord, and each group will be judged by its own deeds. End fruitless arguments. Instead of engaging in endless, divisive theological debates, focus on your individual relationship and righteous actions, which is the only thing that truly matters on Judgment Day.
