آيات AYAT.ONE
Surah Yusuf 12:66
قَالَ لَنۡ اُرۡسِلَهٗ مَعَكُمۡ حَتّٰى تُؤۡتُوۡنِ مَوۡثِقًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ لَــتَاۡتُنَّنِىۡ بِهٖۤ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يُّحَاطَ بِكُمۡ​ۚ فَلَمَّاۤ اٰتَوۡهُ مَوۡثِقَهُمۡ قَالَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مَا نَقُوۡلُ وَكِيۡلٌ‏ ۝
Qala lan orsilahu maAAakum hattatu/tooni mawthiqan mina Allahi lata/tunnanee bihi illaan yuhata bikum falamma atawhu mawthiqahum qalaAllahu AAala ma naqoolu wakeel
Jacob said, "Never will I send him with you until you give me a promise i.e., oath by Allāh that you will bring him back to me, unless you should be surrounded i.e., overcome by enemies." And when they had given their promise, he said, "Allāh, over what we say, is Entrusted."

This verse speaks to the core theme of **Yusuf**.

The Insight

Reflect on the meaning: "Jacob said, "Never will I send him with you until you give me a promise i.e., oath by Allāh that you will bring him back to me, unless you should be surrounded i.e., overcome by enemies." And when they had given their promise, he said, "Allāh, over what we say, is Entrusted."".
